Spoiler: Fender Repeater Telecaster

NAMM 2016: Fender Custom Shop has unveiled the Repeater Telecaster, a guitar inspired by Swiss watch-craft and inlaid with over 1000 diamonds, 38 sapphires and 325 pearls.

The guitar has been constructed by Custom Shop Master Builder Yuriy Shishkov, the same mad mind behind last year's Fabergé egg-inspired homage to ridiculous opulence, the Fender Custom Shop Pine Cone Stratocaster
.
Whereas, sadly, the Pine Cone Stratocaster didn't come up with an actual antique Fabergé egg (which, if we're honest, put us right off buying one), we are pleased to report that the Repeater does come packaged with a 200 year old Swiss Repeater watch.
Here are some key (ridiculous) stats:

• 1005 diamonds
• 38 sapphires
• 325 natural pearls
• 20' 18-karat rose gold wire inlay
• 12 sq. inches of 18-karat rose gold sheet inlay
• Exhibition-grade bird's-eye maple neck

Here's what the Fender Custom Shop has to say about it's new golden child...

"Swiss-made mechanical musical movement is married to intricately inlaid precious metals in this matchless Fender Custom Shop creation. Custom-designed hardware and hand-stained wood mesh with gilded hand-carved patterns, dancing along this precious instrument to form a sterling example of the luthier's art, inspired by an 18th-century pocket watch.

NAMM 2016: Despite its relatively short existence - the company was founded in 2008 - the name Strymon already commands plenty of kudos in pedal-loving circles.

Thanks to sophisticated effects such as the El Capistan, TimeLine and Flint, the Californian company has become synonymous with unparalleled attention to detail and tonal integrity.
NAMM 2016 sees the company focus on power supply, with two new analog, and therefore apparently ultra low noise units. Step forward Zuma and its more compact little brother Ojai. For more details and specs, read on.

Why Power?

Power is one of their true passions, and we want to bring this passion to the world of effects pedals.

This is an incredibly exciting intersection for us. To bring our power expertise the world of pedals, to eliminate the worry that goes into powering pedals properly, and to allow you to focus on being creative rather than thinking about power.

Ojai will be available in Spring of 2016, for US $149. Zuma will be available in Summer of 2016, for US $249. International pricing is not yet announced.

Hat doch beides seine Vorteile.
Wenn man vorab schon über ein Produkt informiert wird - und das zum jetzigen Stand auch nicht "lückenlos" - dann kann man doch gleich rechtzeitig (!) Anregungen geben, was vor Ort noch in Erfahrung gebracht werden könnte.

Mich interessiert z.B. sehr, was es mit dem neuen Power Output Regler bei Laney auf sich hat. Ist das nur ein umgelabelter Resonance/Depth Regler oder kann man da zwischen Class A/B und Class A hin- und herblenden? Oder was ganz anderes?

Line 6 - bei Helix habe ich mich aus dem Fester gelehnt. Das hätte Firehawk lauten müssen. 1500 W Class D mit 136 dB Peak. Adrian musste schmunzeln, als ich ihm die positive Rückmeldung erzählte. Da kommt was, bestimmt.

Volksempfänger - lädt und koppelt sich durch einstecken in der Basis. Mehr braucht man nicht zu machen ...

Amplifi 30 - abrunden nach unten, aber witzig die Kiste

Helix Software - daher auch die Verwechslung ...

Hoffentlich. Wobei...eigentlich war mir die Board-Lösung immer am liebsten...naja, momentan noch nicht in den Finanzen, aber wer weiß.
1,5k sind aber mal eine Ansage (wenn auch "nur" Class D). Wer sich damit nicht hört heißt entweder Townsend oder die Mitmusiker haben das ein oder andere Dynamik-Problem.


Edit und das Relay-System sieht aus, wie eines, was ich benutzen würde...nutzbar wie Kabel, perfekt.

Mich würde interessieren, ob es bei Fender (und Squier!) abseits der Custom und Elite Serie neue Teles gibt.

Das Line6 Relay G10 sieht cool aus, weil der Sender so klein und handlich wirkt.
