Aber ey, der MX61 sieht echt geil aus in dem Look. Hätte ich einen 61er und keinen 49er, würde ich den instant umtauschen.

MX 49/61, wir sprechen hier vom komprimierten Soundangebot auf Basis eines Motif Stand 2007, schon traurig, dass das jetzt ein Yamaha-Messethema für 2015 sein soll... Sorry für diesen negativistischen Tonfall...

Na den weißen Motif XF gab es aber auch. Oder möchte jemand einen Motif XF im Camouflage-Look? Oder einen Tyros 5 im Camouflage-Look? Es gab aber verdächtig viele DX zu sehen. 3 Stück habe ich gezählt. Ich weiß jetzt nicht, ob Yamaha in MX/MOX/Motif würdige Nachfolger sieht, oder evtl. im Hintergrund doch an was Neuem mit FM gebastelt wird.

Mich hat die enorme Auswahl an 3-HE Module erschlagen, das waren gefühlte 10 Meter Messestand alleine bei Schneiders.
Gibts tatsächlich so viele User davon?
Wirklich geflashed hat mich eigentlich nicht so viel. Ich fand das Korg SV-1 Piano mit invertierten roten Tasten recht hübsch und den kleinen Modal.
Natürlich war der Moog Modular eine Augenweide und die Kiste macht auch anständigen Sound -phatt (auch der Preis...).
Ach ja, der Murmux -klasse!

All Your Synths Are Belong To BeatStep Pro

In this video demo from Musikmesse 2015, Arturia demonstrates their new BeatStep Pro, by using it to sequence 8 (count ‘em) MicroBrute and MiniBrute synthesizers.
In other words – you’re probably going to need more synths…..

The BeatStep Pro has an impressive feature set for a US $300 step sequencer. It was originally introduced at the 2015 NAMM Show, with a Spring 2015 release date. As noted in the video, there are still some features under development, but they’re expecting the sequencer to ship in a month or two.

Musikmesse 2015: Zoom F8 – Mehrspur-Recorder

Achtung, Prototyp! Der Zoom F8 ist der größte, am umfangreichsten ausgestattete Mehrspur-Recorder des Herstellers. Ganze acht Eingänge kannst Du füttern, während die Wandlung bei Bedarf mit bis zu 24 Bit & 192 kHz geschieht. Hier sind alle bisher veröffentlichten Infos zum Gerät, das auf der Musikmesse 2015 zu sehen ist...

Nach mehreren Jahren, in denen der Hersteller erfolgreich Field-Recorder verkaufte (im Kontext dieses Artikels ist vor allem der feine Zoom H6 zu erwähnen), geht man nun noch einen Schritt weiter – mit dem Zoom F8 erscheint ein Mehrspur-Recorder als bisher umfangreichstes Aufnahmewerkzeug des japanischen Unternehmens. Mit ihm hast Du die Möglichkeit, Klänge über acht integrierte XLR-Kombi-Eingänge aufzunehmen. Die Analog-Digital-Wandlung geschieht dabei maximal mit hochauflösenden 24 Bit & 192 kHz. Die Mikrofonvorverstärker würden ein Grundrauschen von -127 dB EIN aufweisen. Du kannst sie auf bis zu +75 dB Vorverstärkung aufdrehen.

Die weiteren Eigenschaften umfassen die kabellose Steuerung mittels eines iOS-Geräts (wie etwa schon beim Tascam DR-44WL oder DR-22WL). »Time Code mit professioneller Genauigkeit« wird im Pressetext ebenso versprochen und zwei Slots für SD-Karten stehen bereit. Ferner ist ein mehrkanaliges USB Audio Interface integriert, um die Daten auf separaten Kanälen an den Rechner zu schicken.

Preis & Verfügbarkeit

Zum Preis des Zoom F8 hat man sich auf der Musikmesse Frankfurt noch nicht geäußert. Zur Verfügbarkeit immerhin insoweit, als es noch in diesem Jahr so weit sein soll.

Ich habe heute noch etwas genauer hingeschaut. Schon beim ersten Mal hatte ich den Eindruck es wären nur Aufkleber gewesen. Heute auf der rechten Seite dann auch gesehen, wie schief das aufgeklebt wurde. Ich weiß nicht, ob das ein "Prototyp", eine einmalige Sache für die Messe ist, oder man bei Yamaha vielleicht einen Satz Aufkleber bekommt. Jedenfalls so wie es beim ausgestellten Stück war, muss man da nichts umtauschen, sondern man bräuchte entweder diese Aufkleber oder ein paar Blanko-Aufkleberpapiere und einen Farbdrucker.

Native Instruments Adds VST Support, Invites Third Party Plug-In Development, More



At Musikmesse 2015: Native Instruments has introduced three “major innovations” for their Komplete Kontrol keyboard portfolio:

• NI announced the inclusion of the new Komplete Select instruments and effects suite with Komplete Kontrol keyboards,
• a “significant update” to the Komplete Kontrol software,
• and the debut of Native Kontrol Standard (NKS) – a new format allowing “deep integration” of third party plug-ins.

Now with VST support and third party plug-ins.

With the introduction of the Komplete Kontrol S-Series keyboards last year, NI established a new level of integration for its software instruments. The company is now expanding on this technology with the addition of VST support this summer, opening up the Komplete Kontrol software to third party plug-ins.

NKS: deep plug-in integration, developer kit.

NI is concurrently introducing their Native Kontrol Standard (NKS). This standard will allow plug-in developers to integrate their products as deeply as NI’s own Komplete Instruments. This integration capability will include full parameter mapping, Komplete Browser support, access to exclusive Komplete Kontrol technology such as the Light Guide, and more. A comprehensive development kit, provided by NI, will open up the NKS framework to third-party developers. NI is already working with major software instrument manufacturers, as well as the wider development community, to ensure that the leading software instruments use NKS to provide the deepest integration possible with the Komplete Kontrol system.

Komplete Select instrument and effects collection.

Beginning next month, with the release of Komplete Select, all Komplete Kontrol S-Series keyboards will include a premium selection of Komplete 10 Instruments and Effects. (Registered owners of Komplete Kontrol S-Series keyboards will also receive the Komplete Select package.) List of included Komplete Select instruments here.

Updated Komplete Kontrol software.

Komplete Kontrol 1.1 (coming May 2015) improvements include ability to route and record MIDI output from Komplete Kontrol’s Smart Play functions into your DAW or send MIDI to outboard gear. Adjust touch strip parameters and mod wheel functions directly from the hardware. Save, recall, and manage presets more easily. Furthermore, 2015 will also see an addition to the S-Series keyboard portfolio.

Pricing and Availability.

Komplete Select is included in all Komplete Kontrol S-Series keyboards, and is also available free to all registered Komplete Kontrol owners. Owners will receive a download link and serial number via e-mail upon software registration. Registered Maschine users will also receive Komplete Select as a free download. The Komplete Kontrol 1.1 software update is available as a free download from Service Center.

Elka Synthex Now Available To Pre-Order

Generalmusic has announced that the reissued Elka Synthex is now available to pre-order, for backers of their IndieGoGo campaign.

Originally produced from 1981 to 1985, only a small number of the Elka Synthex synthesizer were ever made. The 8-voice analog synth has been used prominently by Jean Michel Jarre, Duran Duran, Stevie Wonder and others.
