Hallo Leute,
Auf Anraten von x-Riff poste ich hier mal einen meiner Songtexten. Er heißt "Destination Nowhere". Ich habe ihn für meine Band "Search 4 Sense" geschrieben. Erstmal zum Musikalischen:

Der Songtext ist komplett vertont und bereits einmal live performed worden...

Es beginnt mit einem Pianointro. Dann setzt der Gesang ein, bei der Stelle "Why what where..." dann auch die Gitarren, allerdings nur sehr soft und nachdenklich. Dann der cleane Verse, danach Overdrive Chorus, Gitarrensolo und Break. Der Gesang fängt erst alleine an (mit einem Telefon-speaker-effekt). Dann bei "Piece of paper" setzt das Piano ein.An der Stelle "Checking the doors..." setzt die Band wieder ein um dann im wiederholten Refrain den Schlusshöhepunkt zu setzen.

Nun zum Textlichen:
Es geht um eine Zugfahrt, von der niemand weiß wohin sie geht. Die Idee kam mir als ich gerade selbst auf der Zugfahrt nach Hause war. Ich denke alles andere erklärt sich von selbst, Fragen beantworte ich natürlich gerne...

muss gestehn, dass mein vorstellungsvermögen trotz der ausführlichen erklärung so weit nicht reicht, dass ich jetzt ne idee von dem song im ohr hätte, (ok dazu fehlen auch irgendwie noch n paar angaben) aber zum englisch kann ich ja mal was sagen

was meinst du denn mit der zeile?

looking at the clouds above "die wolken anschauen"

destination but macht auch keinen sinn, und wenn ichs hören würde, würd ich hundertpro destination butt verstehen

Also im Chorus geht es darum, dass mir massig Fragen durch den Kopf schießen und ich nicht weiß welche ich zuerst beantworten soll...

Mit dieser Zeile "Getting a phone recalling later" meine ich, dass ich grad nachdenlich bin und weder Zeit noch Lust habe, zurückzurufen.

Mit "checking the doors opened closed" meine ich, dass ic die Tür anschaue und merke wie sie immer wieder auf und zu geht...

Ansonsten sind deine Korrekturen sehr hilfreich, nochmals danke!

....da würden die frageworte immer zum jeweiligen satz passen,,

Mit dieser Zeile "Getting a phone recalling later" meine ich, dass ich grad nachdenlich bin und weder Zeit noch Lust habe, zurückzurufen.

das wäre dann sowas wie "ignoring a call, calling back later"

Mit "checking the doors opened closed" meine ich, dass ic die Tür anschaue und merke wie sie immer wieder auf und zu geht...

Hi Search 4 Sense,

mir waren die gleichen Sachen aufgefallen wie nate, nur er hat dann auch schon direkt die Lösung parat.

Also finde es jetzt gut - habe den song ja gehört und muss sagen: paßt scho.

Es bleibt halt in der Schwebe, die Reise ist noch nicht zu ende und wie es ausgeht, weiß man nicht, aber man ist immerhin auf dem Weg und irgendwas wird passieren.

nö ich finds jetzt auch gut so, und bringt im ganzen durchgelesen die zugstimmung auch sehr gut rüber, meiner meinung nach (auch wenn amtrack und deutsche bahn sich ja angeblich sehr unterscheiden )

Also ich merke schon, deine Korrekturen sind so nützlich wie x-Riff mir das auf unserem Bandworkshop angekündigt hat!

Nun also der nächste Songtext...
Wir sind grad am Demo aufnehmen, also geht das hier ein bisschen Schlag auf Schlag
Vielleicht sollte ich auch erwähnen, dass ich sehr viele Songtexte schreibe...
Leider sind höchstens 50 davon so geworden wie ich sie mir vorgestellt habe!

Mein nächster heißt "Nobody that I know". Er ist auch musikalisch gesehen ziemlich ruhig. Gezählt wird halbtaktig, was ein sehr chilliges Feeling rüberbringt. Gitarrenmäßig im cleanen Sound, Drums teilweise halftime, ein Song für die Feuerzeuge...

Im Songtext geht es um jemanden, der die Straße herunterläuft und sich vorkommt wie im falschen Film. Er erkennt niemanden, hat den Kontakt zu seiner Heimatwelt völlig verloren. Man könnte sagen es geht um einen MOF (mensch ohne freunde)...

Im 2nd Verse ist es Absicht, dass alles mit "they" anfängt, für Techniker: Man nennt es "Anapher"
