Great sounding drums with a fresh aesthetic


BLOOMFIELD, Conn. (January 23, 2014) — Gretsch Drums is proud to introduce a totally redesigned line of Catalina Maple drums. Available in three configurations and five finishes, Catalina Maple drums include many drum features that have made the series a popular choice among drummers. The shell is a 7-ply Gretsch-formula maple shell with 30-degree bearing edges and natural shell
interiors. Bass drums include telescopic bass drum spurs and matching maple wood bass drum hoops. The toms and snare drum feature 2.3mm triple flanged hoops, and the newly designed hardware features round “gas cap” style bass drum mount plate with special “G” memory lock, low-mass GTS tom suspension, Gretsch T-Wing screws/bolts, reduced-mass tom mount brackets and new single and double tom holders. Both tom holders include a post hole for a 7/8" cymbal attachment.


The Catalina Maple line has three configurations built for a variety of playing styles:


• 18”x 22” bass drum, 8”x 12” mounted tom, 16”x 16” floor tom, 6”x 14” snare drum


• 16”x 20” bass drum, 7”x 10” mounted tom, 8”x 12” mounted tom, 14”x 14” floor tom, 5.5”x 14” snare drum


• 18”x 22” bass drum, 7”x 8” mounted tom, 7”x 10” mounted tom, 8”x 12” mounted tom, 16”x 16” floor tom, 6”x 14” snare

Blending classic configurations with innovative hardware design
BLOOMFIELD, Conn. (January 23, 2014) — Gretsch Drums announces an overhaul of the Catalina Club series of drums, with new hardware, finishes and round badge. Offered in three different four-piece configurations and eight finishes, Catalina Club drum sets are built upon 14" deep bass drums for vintage, punchy and warm tones. The newly designed hardware features round “gas cap” style bass drum mount plate with special “G” memory lock, low-mass GTS tom suspension, Gretsch T-Wing screws/bolts, reduced-mass tom mount brackets and new single and double tom holders. Both tom holders include a post hole for a 7/8" cymbal attachment.
Configurations
The Catalina Club line has three configurations based around a 14” deep bass drum:

  • 14”x 18” bass drum, 8”x 12” mounted tom, 14”x 14” floor tom, 5”x 14” snare drum
  • 14”x 20” bass drum, 8”x 12” mounted tom, 14”x 14” floor tom, 5.5”x 14” snare drum
  • 14”x 24” bass drum, 8”x 12” mounted tom, 16”x 16” floor tom, 6.5”x 14” snare drum

Multiple styles and sizes for players ranging from the beginner to the pro
BLOOMFIELD, Conn. (January 23, 2014) — Gretsch Drums announces the creation of the Gold Series and Silver Series in its line of snare drums. Designed to assist drummers in finding the perfect balance between build quality, tone options and accessibility, these drums come in a wide range of shell types and sizes. In addition to assigning current snare drum offerings into one of the two series, new options for 2014 will also be made available, offering more choices than ever from Gretsch.
Gold Series drums use high-grade materials consisting of boutique-level craftsmanship and appointments. Silver Series drums offer great options as a second snare drum or as an entry point into Gretsch snare drums.
Gretsch will continue to offer its vaunted line of artist signature snare drums within the Artist Series.
