Danke, ja der Text bekommt noch eine Übersetzung ins Englische - für den Gesang. Glaube das liegt mir eher. Auf deutsch habe ich es soweit, möchte aber einen Vergleich haben.

Oh yes ..

Today,
today is another one of those days,
one of those I love so much,
a very special one,
longing for in late autumn.

Then I like to tell people about my encounters
with Marianne, the Rhine Fairy.

There's a very special place,
one that hardly anyone knows about except me,
near a small island,
that calmly rises from the Rhine.

When, very early in the morning,
the fog rises from the Rhine,
the sun shows its first rays,
if I'm very lucky,
and the fog lifts a little,
I might catch a glimpse of Marianne,
her beauty, her long blond hair,
the elegant white gown that adorns her.

She is shy,
she looks around,
oh how lovely, she sees me,
she waves to me,
she smiles.

It seems as if she's calling something to me.

I wave back.

This is a beautiful day, I think to myself.

I hope I'll see her more often.

An old coal barge chugs up the Rhine,
it's noisy, the water swirls.

Marianne seems frightened and now looks grim,
she dives back into the dark depths of the river.

Oh, what a shame,
once again far too short,
the moment with Marianne, the Rhine Fairy.

Tomorrow I'll try my luck again,
and hope to see her again,
even if only for a brief moment.

How beautiful she is, the Rhine Fairy.

Her smile captivates me,
every single time.
