auf der Mesa-Sebsite ist mir heute der neue "Mesa Boogie Limited Edition King Snake" ins Auge gefallen. Klingt spannend und sehr nach Tooooooooooooone-Machine, aber billig wird der wohl eher nicht.

ist eine UVP schon bekannt, oder noch überhaupt nichts zu Preisen gemeldet?

Hab darüber nix gelesen. Denk aber mal schon, dass der auf 3000 Tacken kommt, allein wegen des Snake-Finish und der Limitierung.

Nachdem der Amp bereits einige Wochen draußen ist: Hat jemand schon einen gekauft und erste Erfahrungen damit gemacht?

Ich habe meinen King Snake jetzt seit einigen Tagen und bin immer noch damit beschäftigt, das Layout des Amps zu verstehen und "meinen" Sound zu finden. Nur ein kleines Vorab-Fazit daher an dieser Stelle: Die Verarbeitung des Amps ist tip-top, sieht sehr edel aus in dem Snake Finish. Die innen platzierte Plakette mit den Unterschriften von Carlos Santana und Randall Smith ist ein nettes Gimmick und macht den Amp auf jeden Fall zum Sammlerstück. Tonal empfinde ich das Dial-in des Amps als ziemlich schwierig und habe das Gefühl, dass sich die EQ-Regler untereinander deutlich stärker beeinflussen als das bei meinem kleinen Transatlantic oder Lonestar der Fall ist. Ein kleines Problem hatte ich leider auch mit dem Amp: Die Sicherungen sind mehrfach durchgeknallt. Auf Nachfrage bei Mesa (btw, rasend schnelle Antwort!) riet man mir, eine andere Sicherung zu wählen. Also 3 Ampere statt der beiliegenden 2,5 Ampere rein und ab die Post. Funktioniert bisher problemlos. Ansonsten macht das Herumexperimentieren mit dem Amp viel Freude. Pedale wie den Tubescreamer oder meinen BB-Preamp hat der Amp sehr gerne und harmoniert wunderbar mit ihnen. Mehr dazu gibt es, sobald ich den Amp "durchdrungen" habe.
