Sorry about asking English.
I want to buy a Peavey Valve King Head model. In Nurnberg ,do you know a store that sells it?
It would be good if there is a web site of shop that i can look at.

Hi,
just one question, why do you wanna buy exactly THIS amp? Is it, because you are searching a device you can be happy with many years? Or is it, because it's a cheap valve-amp?

None of the cases I mentioned before will fit this amp. Yes it is cheap, but that's it all the way. The sound of this amp won't satisfie you for long.
There's a variety of different valve-amps you can get for a good value if you buy them second hand, f.e. the Laney VH100R or the Peavey 5150/6505. Especially the Laney has a very individual sound (nothing copied like Mesa Rectifier or so) and from ultra-clean to hi-gain, everything's possible, it's played by Mastodon, Andy Timmons and some other popular artists, which I forgot ;). The 5150/6505 fits perfect the way of the classic american hi-gain distortion, the guys from In Flames are both playing this amp and if you know In Flames, you are aware, what kind of sound this head can do.

Please forget the Peavey VK, it's a cheap and kind of "easy-come-easy-go"-amp, there are so many other amps, which should satisfie you longer and better.

@ucakka: Sorry, these last four posts in german don't have anything to do with your question.

Thanks a lot all of my friends for your answer.

Dear Slashjuenger, you're right. I choose this amp because of it's price. But there isn't any amp (all tube amp) about 400-500 Euro. I had thougt that it could be good. But I will think again may be other amp.

Dear Joey, I look at these web sites. But I coudn't find it too .

What would you suggest about between 500 - 600 Euro? (Hybrid or valve amp)

ENGL FIREBALL 2nd hand gear

hybrid or valve is not important.... the sound´s much more important....

Which kind of music do you want to make?... some heavy stuff?...

As joey said right, it doesn't matter, if it is a valve or a mosfet amp. Referring to your questions, I think you are not really sure what you'll need in the future. You should really test a whole bunch of amps, so you can be really sure you'll find the right one for you. DON'T order from the internet, you will get back your money, if you disagree with the ordered amp(s), but it takes a lot more time to test every head over an over an the worst thing is: as soon, as you sent back the last one, you will never get the feeling how it sounded, when the next amps reaches you with the parcelservice. So you have reference to compare both ones. The best thing is to take a whole day and get a trip to a big instrument-store like Thomann in Burgebrach (which is the very next to yours, would take nearly one hour to get there from Nürnberg), these guys are very well equipped. Or, if you get near Cologne, there you'll find Music-Store and the Guitar-Center Cologne. But I think, Thomann would be the best for you.

To your question with insufficient bucks: you can find any of the named amplifiers (f.e. dave1 and mines) for a value about 400-600 euros, but I mention to you a second, that this ones are on second hand, which doesn't have to mean, that they are all in bad condition (you have to recognize this on your own or with someone, who knows a bit about amplifiers).

oh i forgot thomann what a mess... ;)

yes thomann would be the best idea...but they have just 3 rooms filled up with amps... is that enough? :)

bye Joey

This one's very good: http://www.musicstore.de/is-bin/INT...yID=6LzVqHzlhAgAAAEVcxxWf70R&JumpTo=OfferList
They're a trademark of music-store, cologne , but this amp is produced by Laboga in Pologne. You can read Reviews of the Head "Studio Reverb" on harmony-central: http://reviews.harmony-central.com/reviews/Guitar+Amp/product/Laboga/Studio+Reverb+Head/10/1
I own the head myself. It's a good rock amp, the "clean"-channel is distorting easy. But if you crank the Master-Volume all the way and just the channel volumes for adjusting, you can get a very nice, fat cleansound (not fender-like, but very nice, imho) loud enough for a rock band.
The Gain-channel has enough Gain for Rock/Hardrock. I was very satisfied putting an overdrive in front of it (Digitech Bad Monkey, Ibanez TS-5 or TS-7, you get them for a snmall amount, new [Bad Monkey] or 2.nd hand [TS-5 or TS-7]).
This is much more am amp to be happy for a long time.
It's not a 4-channel-midi-monster, but what it does, it does very good.
Since there is a 30-days-give-back-guarantee, you have no risk to order it and try it out.
But i agree with slashjuenger, that the Laney VH100R or the Combo VC 100 or 50 R, bought second hand, would even be better.
But i surely can understand if you don't like to buy second hand if you don't speak the language of the country you are actually - the risk of getting cheated might be higher.
So if you want to play rock / hardrock / oldschool metal, the Fame Studio 84 Combo would be a good deal.
If you can afford 700,- you could also buy the "Studio Reverb Head" http://www.musicstore.de/is-bin/INT...yID=vMfVqHzlugwAAAEVGx1Wf70R&JumpTo=OfferList
and this cabinet: https://www.thomann.de/de/harley_benton_g212_vintage.htm
Good luck and much success!

EDIT: I just saw that the "Studio Reverb Head" was already mentioned above - i was to slow...

Well, the only reason to choose a valve amp is the original tube overdrive and the warm sound, i think. If you are searching for a true power amp overdrive without compromises, a used Laney AOR or a Kitty Hawk Apache would be the best choise, but if you aren't sure what kind of amp or sound do you want i would suggest a flexible hybrid or transistor amplifier. Tube amp means a big astriction, so make your decision wisely.
Tube does not mean it will sound good, often the transistor amp is the better choise in this price level. On ebay you'll find many very good tube amps which i would definitely play without any disbelief....at the end it's your choise, nevertheless please don't throw your money down the drain, i did the same mistakes you will do if you buy a cheap new tube amp. In my mind the Peavey Valve King is not as bad as said by many people, but you can buy more for your money. Keep this in mind ;)
