LES PAUL RIP - A MESSAGE FROM WARREN
Today we lost a giant in the world of music and recording. Although we have lost way too many heroes/icons in recent months I am compelled to speak out in honor of Les Paul whom I knew (a little), played with once, and obviously respected and revered.
Les was the Jimi Hendrix of his time
Weit daneben Mr. Haynes. Les Paul war der Hendrix, Van Halen, the Edge und Yngwie über
alle Dekaden hinweg. Eddie bringts hier auf den Punkt:
Les Paul: How are you ... and what are you doin here?
Eddie: Hey, it's just a goddamn honor to be here, with ya ...
Les Paul: I would like to go down, sit in the front row and see what you got to do now, and you changed things a lot ...
Eddie: I just wanna say one thing, that without the things that you have done, I couldn't do half the things that I can do ... now including, you know, the echo stuff ...
Les Paul: Well, forget your married life...
Eddie: wait a minute, wait a minute, hey, we wouldn't be able to make records like we do, if you didn't invent multitrackrecording!
Les Paul: Thank you

Eddie: See what this guy started ...
Les Paul: That is fantastic, and the people love you ... thank you very much ... Eddie van Halen Ladys and Gentlemen ... Killer ...Killer
