Guitar Pro 6? Lizenz nur für 12 Monate?

Hallo,

ich überlege mir gerade, ob ich Guitar Pro 6 anschaffe. Jetzt habe in den FAQ auf
der GP Seite folgendes gelesen:

Q5 : May I install Guitar Pro on more than one computer?

YES. Your license allows you one installation and the use of only one copy of the software on up to a maximum of 5 computers or operating systems, over a period of 12 consecutive months – with the understanding that a license, even though it may be installed on more than one computer or system, is destined to one particular user only, with a tolerance for an extension to the family. This is meant to allow you, should the need arise, to re-install GUITAR PRO after you have reformatted your computer or changed your operating system.

Heisst das, dass die GP5 Lizenz nur 12 Monate gültig ist und dass ich danach wieder weiterzahlen darf?

Sow wie ich das verstehe ist es auf deinem PC / BS UNBEGRENZT

Allerdings auf anderen PC´s nicht ... wenn sie nicht dir gehören irgendwie so..

Ah jetzt ja: Ich glaube ich habe es verstanden. Ich darf innerhalb von 12 Monaten auf bis zu 5 Rechnern
installieren. Nutzen darf ich die Software dann anscheinend für immer.

Aber wird der Installationsvorgang nach 12 Monaten unterbunden? Baut die Software beim Registrieren
eine Verbindung zum Firmenserver auf und checkt die Zeit? Wäre ja ärgerlich wenn nach 2 Jahren ein
Rechner schlapp macht und man nicht mehr auf dem Nachfolgerechner installieren darf.

Wahrscheinlich wird nichts kontrolliert und Papier (bzw. Bits) ist geduldig ...

Was sagen denn die erfahrenen GP6 User?

Nein keine Angst was du kaufst kannst du auch immer benutzen egal wann.
Und du kannst GP auch ohne Internet nutzen sowie eigentlich "fast" jede Software.

Habe jetzt auch schon zugeschlagen und GP5 gefällt mir soweit sehr gut
(bis auf 1 Absturz und Installationsproblemen, aber das liegt wahrscheinlich
an dem Schrottvista).

What happens if my favourite computer crashes after 2 years and needs to be replaced? Will the installation of my old license be forbidden on the second computer?

I am a bit confused about this 12 months rule ...

No, you should not install on 5 computers, unless they are all yours and used by you.
What we mean by 12 months, is that the first activation marks the beginning of the 12-month period within which you will be allowed 5 activations. So that if one of your systems crashes during that time, then you can reinstall. But of course, if you have installed on 5 systems already, then you will be stuck.
After 12 months, the date of the first activation disappears and the date for the second activation becomes the beginning of the 12-month period, and so on, each time opening up a slot for a new activation. Which means that your activation count is always in refernce to a date setting a 12-month period within which up to 5 activations are allowed.

Du installierst heute ein System - damit hast Du noch 4 Installationen frei. Nach 12 Monaten wird das heutige Installationsdatum gelöscht und Du hast wieder 5 frei.

Ne pico, jetzt irrst Du Dich aber.

Mit der ersten Aktivierung beginnt eine 12 Mt-Frist zu laufen. Innerhalb dieser kann der PC crashen und erneut mit der selben Aktivierung installiert werden. Crasht er aber nach der 12 Mt-Frist wird die zweite Aktivierung nötig, die dann wiederum 12 Mt gültig ist.

Wenn nun, wie es 901 schreibt, alle 5 Jahre eine Aktivierung nötig ist, hast Du theoretisch letztmals nach 21 Jahre eine Chance noch mal zu aktivieren....

Also geht es weniger darum gleich alle 5 Aktivierungen auf unterschiedliche Rechner zu verteilen.....

Ich würde sagen das ist so ähnlich wie die Regionensperre eines DVD-Players... Da kann man ja auch nur eine Begrenzte Anzahl mal die Region wechseln - naja zumindest bei den meisten...

Wenn eines Deiner Systeme crasht in dieser Zeit, kannst Du eine Neuinstallation machen.

Natürlich nur, wenn Du es noch nicht auf 5 mal aktiviert hast. Falls das der Fall ist, hast Du ein Problem.

Also, wenn Du heute Aktivierst, nächste Woche der Rechner crasht und du neu installierts/aktivierst steht Dein Counter bei denen in der Datenbank auf 2 (Rest 3). Am 5.Juli 2011 läuft dann die heutige Aktivierung ab und wird in deren Datenbank wieder freigegeben, womit der Counter dann auf 1 (Rest 4) steht und nächste Woche in einem Jahr läuft dann auch diese Aktivierung aus, womit Du wieder alle 5 hättest.

Nehme meine Kritik also hiermit zurück. Bedeuted also, die wollen verhindern, dass mehr als 5 Mal pro Jahr neu installiert wird.
