Pent up in a cutaneous armour
scar thickened tissue
Last apertures closing in convalescence
stitched up by fate's bloody twines
impermeable, well nigh impermeable

Darkness infolds the place
once so pleasantly bright
A chilling cold eradicates
remaining scions of sensation

Invulnerable
Invulnerably dead
No harm ever permeates
the shell again
Invulnerable
Invulnerably numb
Nothing ever passes out
the withered core again
