Hallo,
ich habe diesen Song letztes Jahr im Mai geschrieben und es ist einer meiner Favorites. Das ist ne flotte Melodie, also, wenn man den einmal gehört hat, dann schwirrt die Melodie im Kopf rum.

ich weiss, der reim. aber satzbau maessig ist das mehr als grenzwertig, wenn dir jemals ein besserer reim einfaellt, nimm ihn!

That I'm crying over you

"wegen dir weinen" heisst, "cry for". ansonsten kann ich keine fehler entdecken​

Lieben Dank. Ich weiß dass es grammatikalisch without hearing a word from you heißt, hab das einfach so geschrieben, wegen dem Reim. Im normalen Sprechen dürfte man das nicht sagen, aber bei einem Song kommt das hier und da mal vor, dass die Satzkonstruktion dem Lied entsprechend geändert wird.
Cry over sb bedeutet wegen bzw. über jmdn. weinen. cry for ist eher um jemdn. weinen.

nee, den unterschied gibts im englischen nicht, beides "cry for", da verwette ich meinen hut.

Man kann definitiv cry over someone sagen. Da verwette ich MEINEN Hut! Mein Freund (Ire) und meine irischen Freunde, denen ich den Text damals gezeigt haben, sagen das gleiche. Ein Song z.B. von Bilie Holliday heißt: Baby, I don't cry over you oder Fiona Joyce: Cry over you oder The Beatles: I'm gonna sit right down and cry (over you) oder Freddie Harte: Why should I cry over you

jepp, hast recht, hab das thema auch mal mim belesenen geist deurchgekaut und der sagte auch, "cry over" ist in deinem zusammenhang viel besser als "cry for". muss daran liegen das ich als mann nie weine....

achja, und bei gelgenheit schulde ich dir einen hut
