Da mußte mit den Zeiten noch mal schauen: Erzählzeit ist einfaches past. Alles was davor ist - dein Examensabschluss liegt davor - beim Studium mußt Du schauen ob es aus der Erzählzeit Zukunft ist oder schon vor der Erzählzeit angefangen hat.

chef said I'm best around and so the job i got so the job I got - da bemüßt Du die literarische Freiheit arg - aber Du brauchst was, was sich auf job reimt, oder? So mal aus dem Bauch raus: chef said, I´m the best around so I climbed to the top oder so

Vermutlich kommt danach noch ungefähr viermal der Chorus, oder?

Yo - jetzt kein außergewöhnlicher Text, aber muss auch nicht immer sein.

statt "stood for" vielleicht "applied for a job". "chef" ist im englischen nur der "koch", für deutsch - "chef" geht nur "boss"

im englischen heisst der typ nur "chef". das "chef-koch" ist wohl nur die übersetzung um den aufdruck "chef" auf der schürze zu erklären. im englischen gibt es nur "chef". is ja auch ein französisches wort....
