das forum hakt heute ja ein wenig, mal schauen, was hier nachher angezeigt wird....

hier rate ich zu "no one else can make...", dann ist ganz deutlich, dass dir niemand das "entscheiden abnehmen kann". anders ist es etwas verwirrend.
can choose what i have to choose, no no no
das erste "can choose" klingt nach freier auswahl, das "have to choose" nach zwang, vielleicht gleichst du das an, dann kommt es klar rüber. also " no one has to chose what I..."

"...it has to cost.."

ich denke mal, das "fly away" gehört zum satz davor, dann muss es heissen "all I want is to fly away"

meist du "keep quiet"? das meint schon eher "halts maul!", wenn du sagen willst, "warum ich schweige", vielleicht eher "be quiet". wobei das mit "keep" schon passt, ist aber irgendwie seltsam...

gehört hier ein gedachtes "no one" davor, dann lass es so, sonst vielleicht ne direkte ansprache...

hier vielleicht ein kleines "it" zwischen "see" und "eyes". ist nicht notwendig, die redewendung ist so einfach geläufiger...
when he stands in front of me and miss/misses/missing my smile //bin mir nicht sicher was richtig ist
kommt drauf an, am besten wäre "when he is standing in front of me, missing my smile

das "you" verstehe ich nicht. wenn du meinst "der dich (im sinne von michselbst) vertehen kann, dann eher "one can understand" oder "who I can understand". so heisst es, "..den du verstehen kannst"

das würde ich anders benutzen, "..like a wild goose chase", aber so kann es auch richtig sein - ehrlich gesagt - keinen plan...

Ich denke, das ist grammatikalisch richtig, ich finde es ein wenig sperrig.
Vlt: no one (else) can decide what I got to decide
no one (else) can take that from me, no no no

Ich weiß nicht, wie stark "to cost" auf die finanzielle Seite (Kosten) abzielt. Alternative wäre: how hard it was oder so was

hier gibt es mehrere Alternativen: can betont eher die Fähigkeit überhaupt (im Sinne von können), will betont mehr Hoffnung oder Zweifel, ob jemand da sein wird, der es kann und tut, might sehr stark den utopischen Charakter

Die Atmosphäre kommt beim Text gut rüber. Allerdings sind einige Wiederholungen drin (so ist inhaltlich to decide und to choose nahezu gleich) und man erfährt eigentlich nichts über die handelnden/denkenden/fühlenden Personen und was es eigentlich zu entscheiden gilt.

Aber das ist Sache des Autors, wie weit er den Nebel lüftet.

Gibt es denn schon Vorstellungen für die musikalische Umsetzung?

ich hab immer die angewohnheit alles sehr allgemein zu halten. ich mag es nicht wenn man alles so klipp und klar sagt. das würde bei mir dann schnell so nen "zeigenfinger-charakter" bekommen.

das lied soll ganz minimal gehalten werden. also nur akkustik gitarre. eventuell noch ein solo mit der e-gitarre.

es soll weitest gehend sehr ruhig werden sich jedoch zum ende hin etwas hoch steigern.
ist nicht für meine band sondern eher für mich selbst gedacht...^^

ja, dachte ich mir. "kann" und "kann" sind im englischen zwei wörter, das ist etwas schwierig zu erklären, ich versuch mich mal. du meinst eigentlich "is able to", "can" würde man im dem zusammenhang eher nicht nehmen. oder du musst verdeutlichen, dass es sich um die gleiche entscheidung handelt, am besten mit einem artikel "to choose" ist in dem zusammenhang dann auch etwas unglücklich, es heisst mehr "aussuchen" als "entscheiden", ersteres ist ja irgendwie "weicher"...

oder:

"no one is able to choose where I have to chose"

"no one can decide when I have to"
