dead corpse ist ein weisser schimmel, corps ist imho immer ein toter koerper, vielleicht dead body?

Finde ihn nicht ganz so stimmungsvoll wie deine sonstigen texte.
Vielleicht kannst Du die angsteinfloessende Stimmung verstaerken, wenn Du immer direkt den Leser als you ansprichst > Du gehst durch die Strasse, Du hoerst Schritte hinter Dir etc.

Hi x-Riff,
danke für Verbesserungen und Anregungen.
Ist night falls besser? Ich versuche immer Beispiele zu finden, wenn ich nicht ganz sicher bin. Bei night comes bin ich auf stand by me gestoßen, when the night has come. Ansonsten ändere ich das in falls.
Mit dem Stahl hab ich das so gemeint, dass er halt nie eine heilende Wirkung hat.
Blood-Soaked, hab nicht anderes gefunden. Wollte eigentlich blutverschmiert sagen, aber dafür scheint es kein einzelnes Wort zu geben.
Hoppla, corpse ist ja schon 'ne Leiche, hast natürlich recht.

Hi spectre:
night falls - night comes: also das englische Wort für Abenddämmerung ist nightfall - deshalb kam ich drauf - when the night falls gibts glaube ich auch als Titel von einem song.
Ich denke aber, es geht beides.

Na ja - mit dem Stahl das ist auch eher eine weiße Schimmelgeschichte: das Wort tötlicher Stahl sagt eigentlich schon aus, dass damit keine heilende Wirkung verbunden wird. Klingt halt ein bißchen pathetisch und aufgeladen - aber ist letztlich Geschmacksache.

Mit blood-saked: habe mal unter verschmiert nachgeschlagen:

anbieten würde sich: blurred (=blood-blurred) oder smeared (blood-smeared), imho.
