Was meint protokollbedingt?

Mein Setup: HDSPe MADI FX (Clock-Master). Slaves: M-1620 Pro D, 12Mic, UFX III.

RateSync - FEATURES
================================================================================

CHANGES IN RATESYNC 1.0.0(027) - Compared with Build 26
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

- Review and rewrite of the documentation files (+README, +INSTALL, +FEATURES),
which were AI-generated in build 26.

FEATURES OF RATESYNC 1.0.0(026) - the first official release
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The main goal
* Automatic switching of the sample rate (SR) of ASIO and network devices
to the rate of a clock master (ASIO or network device) or a master clock.
* Supports all common sample rates (single, double, quad speed) from 44.1 to
192 kHz.

Reliability
* Sample rate switching happens reliably and as fast as possible, but by design
has a small, unavoidable delay, as the sample rates have to be queried and set
via ASIO drivers and the HTTP Remote of the network devices.
* A new SR only counts after 1 s without further change, so the devices do
not follow every intermediate rate change.
* Reliability in operation: all devices are set at once, then checked until
they run at the rate and are locked. If there is no lock, the device is shown
in red. An exception are network problems: then devices cannot be reached,
and thus their SR cannot be changed.
* Devices are rechecked every 5 s.

Devices
* Supports devices with ASIO drivers and RME network devices (12Mic, M-1620 Pro,
M-32 *, etc.).
* Sets the SR of network devices, or alternatively loads a user config which
has to include the proper SR.

Modes
* For network devices: a loaded preset is never changed
* Network devices are polled in the background
* Three modes: Auto, Manual, Pause
- Auto: every device not set to the rate of the master is set at once
- Manual: such a device is shown in red and set with a click on the master
- Pause: neither the clock master nor the devices are polled
* Mode switched by a click on the status line of the Cube
* Polling of single devices paused by a click on their line, e.g. while
switched off

Cube
* Clock master and all slaves at a glance, with rate and status: amber while
switching, red on problems
* Fully scalable via controls in the setup dialogue
* Can be placed freely on the desktop; its position is remembered
* Colours, size and opacity are configurable
* Random colour option
* The 16 custom colours of the Windows colour picker can be set with
Shift+click
* Mouse-over shows tooltips about the status
* Tray icon configurable

Setup dialogue
* Devices are selectable
* Clock master chosen from a list
* Clock slaves can be ticked to be in scope of this service
* Device order can be changed according to your own priority or liking
* Autodetection of network devices in the same subnet as the computer running
RateSync. Network devices in other subnets can be added by their IP address.
* Shows additional device information: serial number, firmware or driver
version, etc.
* Devices can get a custom name, which is displayed in the Cube
* Per network device and rate: two modes, either "rate set" or "load preset by
its name" from a drop-down list. This allows different settings or routings
per sample rate, e.g. because the number of channels changes at higher
sample rates (double, quad speed).
* Default timings are changeable (not recommended)
* Logging: the debug log can be switched on; size and rotation of the logs can
be configured
* Support: report of devices, settings and debug log, prepared for copy and
paste, e.g. for a forum post; serial numbers can be hidden. Option to save it
to a file. If the debug log is off, it offers to switch it on.
* Every tab with settings: restore application defaults, save and restore user
settings

Operation
* By clicking the Cube and using the hamburger and tray menu
* Settings and logs are stored in the user's profile, so that settings survive
software updates.
* At start-up, RateSync checks whether another copy is already running and
offers to end it, and whether the autostart entry needs to be updated to a
new path of the executable.

Code
* Main program, modules and reusable libraries
* Usage of classes to avoid global variables
* Build 1.0.0(027): 20 .ahk source files with 8,222 lines
4,306 lines of code (52 %), 3,430 comment (42 %), 486 blank (6 %).
