Hi,
1.
Ridin' down to Texas in a '61 Cadillac
dust is blowin' up my hair, a loaded six-string in the back
The feeling's just right and the music's way of loud
Just ridin' on and on and on, ridin' way down south
Yeah, I just didn't know, where I was going to stay
--- But the devil was on his way
2.
Pickin' up some girls, lay 'em down and have a good time
drinkin' lots of whiskey, makin' out and feelin' fine
Goin' to the club, plug it in and let some decibels roll
Screamin' strings, smokin' stacks and some old-fashioned rock'n roll
Lord, I could feel it in my fingers, feel it in my knees
--- Yeah, the devil was down with me
Refrain:
And I keep on ridin' to the break of dawn
Yeah, keep on ridin' till my work is done
Yeah, I keep on ridin' but I feel the cold spell
'cause in the end, I'm just ridin' to hell
-Solo-
3.
You know I've Been to the crossroads and I did what Robert did
Came to see the old man, heard he'd make a good bid
He said: "You wanna live the life, wanna live in rock'n roll?
Yeah, all you gotta do is just gimme your soul!
You'll see, you'll play like the devil, get your whiskey and wine
--- And some day you gonna be mine"
-Refrain-
-Schlusssolo-
-Ende-
