Tolles, 2-teiliges E-Book über die Entstehung des Blues (auf englisch).
Sehr ausführlich vom ersten aufkommen des Begriffs "Blues" bis zur Entstehung im Delta usw.

Beschreibung:

Packed with fascinating old photographs, many of them rare, this enthralling new exploration of the blues brings together the various historical strands that combined to create,
perhaps, the most emotive musical genre of them all. Trace blues’ fascinating history. Find out who first used the term the blues.
Discover the first documented performances of what became blues and when such music first started to sound like the blues we recognise today.
Hundreds of your questions about this irresistible music are answered in How Blues Evolved, an illustrated history of the music that gave us pop, rock, jazz and rock and roll.

So many old blues photographs are included in How Blues Evolved, we had to split the book into two volumes.
In Volume Two, blues as we know it today begins to take shape.
We find out who first set field hollers to guitar accompaniment and when the genre was actually called blues for the first time.
We see the first blues music published, the first blues songs recorded, and find out why the first blues recording artists were all white.
Hundreds more of your questions are answered such as who played the first boogie woogie,
recorded the first guitar blues and bent the first string on record and played the first note-by-note solo.
As we move into the twentieth century, we find out who established today’s standard 12-bar format (because blues wasn’t always that way).
Meet the first electric blues guitarists and the white 16-year-old electric blues guitar maestro who recorded with so many African-American blues icons in the 1930s.
We ask who was the most influential bluesmen of all time, when did blues become rhythm & blues, and when did blues start to sound like rock & roll?
Whatever you want to know about blues, it’s all in How Blues Evolved, Volumes One and Two.

Finde ich interessant, grad wenn es auch um die Anfänge geht ...
Kann man das nur mit dem "Kindle" lesen (hab ich nicht), oder auch auf andere Weise?
(Sorry, bin in diesen Dingen etwas unerfahren ...)

Hallo Blues-Opa: man braucht nicht unbedingt einen Kindle, man kann das auch im Browser direkt lesen.
