Crate GT or GTX

I want to know what the differances are between the CRate GT212 and GTX212.I know the GTX has all the onboard effects, but are they any good? Does the two amps have the smae basic sound or does the soun d also differ?

Hi,
I own the Crate GT1200h and can't really say that the amp is good!
I won't say it is crap you're buying but the amp is very noisy when you plug in the guitar, especially in the overdrive-channels! But I like it's sound even if I could not yet test it in the band!
But to come to your topic:
I didn't test it, but from hearing it, I know that the effects are very good and I can't imagine that there is a difference in sound between the both!
And when they cost the same I would definitly buy the GTX!
