d'Addario, Planet Waves... Player's Points eingestellt

Wer hat noch seit Jahrzehnten hunderte von den Dingern gesammelt und bisher nie eingelöst, weil die Versandkosten so hoch sind?

Freunde und ich wollten immer mal zusammenlegen, aber jetzt können wir die Coupons alle wegwerfen

Mir ist es aufgefallen, weil ich mal wieder nach den einzulösenden Goodies schauen wollte und auf den Herstellerseiten keine Links zu den Player's Points mehr fand.

Dann hab ich gegoogelt und fand ein paar jüngere (Foren-)Seiten, auf denen steht, dass das Bonus Programm eingestellt wurde.

Ist wie mit meinen Miles & More, die verfallen schneller, als ich sie einlösen kann

Genau deswegen habe ich noch einen ganzen Schuhkarton voll mit leeren Verpackungen
Müssten um die 50 Packungen sein. Also knapp 150 Points, die jetzt auch ins Altpapier können?...Schade drum aber ob ich die je eingelöst hätte ist wieder ne andere Sache

Der ist jetzt wahrscheinlich weg, weil die ersten Sammler genügend Punkte gesammelt hatten.

Eigentlich hätten sie die Aktion auslaufen lassen müssen, d.h. einfach keine neuen mehr nachdrucken, die die noch im Umlauf sind aber noch akzeptieren, aber einfach die ganze Aktion abzubrechen ist schon ganz schön dreist.

Das Programm wird nicht abrupt abgebrochen, sondern ausgephast. Das heißt, man kann die bisher gesammelten Punkte in irgendeiner Form einlösen, sie verfallen nicht. Es gibt halt keine neuen Punkte mehr auf den aktuellen Verpackungen und das Angebot an Tauschobjekten wird immer kleiner.

The D'Addario Player's Points program was launched in 1991 as a way for us to say thank you to our loyal customers for their continued support of our products. As the marketplace for our products continues to develop globally it has become more and more difficult for us to successfully implement this wonderful customer loyalty program. We have recently decided that we will be phasing out this twenty year old program and will be focusing our efforts on offering exciting giveaway and promotional initiatives on Facebook and our promotions page. While we have begun to remove the Player's Points values from our packaging it may take a while for all the packaging to filter through our operations and our network of distributors and retailers. It is our intention to honor any requests from customers that have collected Player's Points packaging. Unfortunately we will not have the same extensive catalogue of Player's Points merchandise available going forward, but we will be adding exciting new designs to the existing items. Additionally, we are pleased to announce that we'll be introducing an all new Swag Store in late summer 2012 with brand new merchandise and swag items. For the first time we will be offering this merchandise for purchase as well as redeemable with any Player's Points values that are left out there. We encourage you to use your remaining points now if you see something you like on this page or hold on to them until we introduce the new Swag Store this summer.

zeigt ja noch die Sachen und ein Formular zum bestellen gibt es auch noch.

Die Points verschwinden wohl nach und nach von den Verpackungen, aber
kann man aktuell also noch Glück haben z.B. den Hocker zu bekommen,
wenn man die Points einlöst, oder ist die Sache schon gelaufen?

Der Thread ist zwar schon etwas älter aber bin grade drauf gestossen, und germerkt das die infos nicht mehr aktuell sind.
Es gibt einen Merchandise Store auf der d'Addario Homepage wo man mit den Punkten "bezahlen" kann.
Außerdem gibts wohl ab 2014 ein neues System, in dem auch die alten Punkte noch eingelöst werden können.

Yet, as the marketplace for our products continues to develop globally, it has become necessary to transition our customer loyalty program into a more web-friendly and interactive platform.

Thus, we have recently begun to remove the Player's Points values from our packaging as we will not be using the traditional points in the new loyalty program. However it is our intention to still honor any requests from customers who have collected traditional Player's Points packaging. In short, any remaining Player's Points in the marketplace can be used in the new loyalty program - so don't throw away any Points you've saved!

We are currently working on developing a web-based loyalty program where users will be able to redeem points, shop and order their exclusive D'Addario merchandise all through one interactive interface. Until this transition is completed, you may see packaging with no points - this is only temporary as we are currently exploring various options on introducing interactive points to the packaging, so we can cut out the need to cut up packaging and manually sending them in.

Additionally, we are actively sourcing new and exciting items - items we have never offered before. We hope to have this brand new loyalty program ready for launch by 2014.
