childish kenne ich nur in dem Kontext: kindisch, nicht kindlich. Da würde ich eher childlike nehmen oder innocent oder sowas - im beolingus werden allerdings beide Bedeutungen (kindisch, kindlich) aufgeführt

habe die beiden Zeilen im Zusammenhang gelesen: Versteht er überhaupt eine Waffe in der Hand? und bin etwas drüber gestolpert. Als zwei Halbsätze geht es, würde persönlich aber doch mehr zu sowas wie: does he even understand / what he´s doing with the rifle in his hand oder what´s the rifle for in his hand oder so

belongs im Sinne von gehören? oder eher but everything depends/is depending on the human race im Sinne von: die Menschen bestimmen, was geschieht?

Hmmm - also sprachlich wackelt da glaube ich noch einiges.
Ist mir schon klar, dass das eine Art Rundumschlag ist - gegen die Menschheit und was sie so mit sich und der Welt macht - an sowas geht man ja nicht mit Pastellfarben ran. Für mich ist dennoch zu viel mit reingepackt - aber das ist Geschmacksache.

Also zum Aufrütteln kann der Text wohl dienen, denke ich mal.

Denke aber auch, dass da noch mal ein native drüberschauen sollte. Habe so das Gefühl, dass einige Worte üblicherweise so nicht im Englischen verwendet werden (ohne meine Hand dafür ins Feuer legen zu wollen) - und das würde dem Text wirklich nicht gut tun, dass man die kritische Botschaft in Form eines kauderwelschischen Englisch dargeboten bekommt.

ich kenn das nur als nomen, ein adjektiv habe ich auch beim googlen nicht gefunden. guck mal in andere wörterbücher, ob das da auch steht. in meinem kopf ist es nicht drin, der gegencheck bei http://www.beolingus.de/ hat mich bisher bestätigt.

und wenn man nach "usurper king" googelt bekommt man immerhin 12.000 Hits....kann sein, dass du recht hast, hab allerdings auch noch nirgends definitiv gelesen, dass es falsch ist...
werd mir wohl mal auf meiner Uni weitere Meinungen einholen ;-)
