SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. (January 23, 2014) – Guild is proud to announce six new models in the popular Orpheum, Arcos and Artist series to be featured at the 2014 NAMM Show.
The Orpheum Slotted Headstock Orchestra and Orpheum Slotted Headstock 12-String Orchestra guitars are beautifully crafted models coming from the talented hands within the Guild Custom Shop in scenic New Hartford, Conn. Features include a red spruce top, solid mahogany back and sides (also available with solid rosewood back and sides), mahogany neck with an ebony fingerboard, chrome hardware, bone nut, mother-of-pearl dot inlays, dual-action truss rod, wood marquetry and a slotted head design. All models include a deluxe case and are available in Natural and Sunburst finishes.
Arcos Series guitars feature Guild’s signature arched-back body design. First introduced in the 1950s on some of Guild’s earliest acoustic guitar models, the Guild arched-back design enhances volume and projection while providing excellent structural stability.
The AF-50CE offers a jumbo cutaway body with a solid Sitka spruce top, an arched laminated maple back and sides, a bolt-on 3-piece mahogany neck, Indian rosewood fingerboard and bridge, bone nut and saddle, koa rosette and Fishman® electronics.
The 12-string AF-412E offers a jumbo body shape with a solid Sitka spruce top, arched laminated maple back and sides, a bolt-on 3-piece mahogany neck, Indian rosewood fingerboard and bridge, bone nut and saddle, koa rosette and Fishman® electronics.
Guild Doyle Dykes Signature Models are the result of extensive collaboration among Dykes, master luthier Ren Ferguson and the team at Guild’s New Hartford, Conn., factory.
Created to Dykes’ exacting specifications, the Doyle Dykes Signature Nylon Cutaway Electric and Doyle Dykes Signature 12-String Cutaway Electric guitars deliver a rich, full and balanced sound that will please the most discerning guitarist. The nylon cutaway model offers a solid Sitka spruce top, 1-piece chambered solid mahogany body back and sides, a 1-piece mahogany neck with 24 frets and an ebony fingerboard, gold-plated hardware, custom-designed LR Baggs® Deluxe Acoustic Equalizer preamp with LB6 under-the-saddle transducer.
