Part Time Thing

Hallo Freunde,
Zuerst möchte ich mal loswerden, dass ich neu hier im Forum bin, aber schon seit einiger Zeit "stiller Mitleser" bin. Nun hab ich mich angemeldet, weil ich ein wenig "aktiver" ins Geschehen eingreifen will. In diesem Sinne wollte ich euch gleich mal einen aktuellen Songtext von mir vorstellen. Ich freue mich über sämtliche Art von Kritik und Hilfe
An einigen Stellen bin ich mir ziemlich unsicher... Vielleicht findet ja jemand Zeit mal drüber zu schauen.

Strophe 1
Like the way of sun shining brightly to the sea
All that love and kindness suddenly dazzled me
I felt a fever in my belly like chasing hands
Somehow banishing me through that promised land
With a steady growing pair of wings to fly
I quietly vanished like the eagles through the sky
Into a world of childish dreams and foolish ways
Believing in the echoes of yesterday

Refrain
It's like an ace laid at just the right time
But when it fades, it's committing a crime
Sometime it seems to be like an already lost game
But 'till then you shouldn't try to measure it with pain
If you ever find the luck to hand out your rusty ring
It's just a part time thing
Because it's a part time thing

As relentless as a river that flows to the sea
I crawled down an empty deserted one-way street
Pushed by hungry wolfs who were snapping at my heels
Til' the moonlight scattered and my fears turned real
Those familar dreams became envoys of devil
Once more they pulled me up to the top of the hill
They simply cursed my soul and forced me to pray
Now the next abyss isn't longer far away

It's just partly truth and partly fiction
Blessing or curse? It turns its addiction
Some say "It's eternal and it certainly prevails"
Perhaps they live as a part of their own fairy tales
You just better believe now, if she ever takes that ring
It's just a part time thing
Because it's a part time thing

also erstma fettes Lob für den Text der gefällt mir echt gut...
ich würde gern des Lied dazu hören weil des sehr interessant klingt, in welche Musikrichtung willst du mit dem Text gehen?

ich hab mich da noch nicht wirklich festgelegt, höchstwahrscheinlich werde ich den Gesang wohl nur mit der Akkustischen begleiten

eine Frage hätt ich noch, und zwar:

Ich wollte damit ausdrücken, dass es "mich" sozusagen durch das erhoffte Land verbannt hat.
Vielleicht ist das Verb nicht gerade das richtige, Aber dann müsste das "through" doch stimmen, richtig ?

Das sollte den selben Sinn haben wie: wenn es vergeht, dann ist das wie eine Straftat.

Und damit mein ich: Segen oder Fluch? Es ändert seine Neigungen...
Ich hab mir schon gedacht, dass das so nicht geht.

"durch das gelobte land verbannt"? was soll das bedeuten ?

zum zweiten:
"but if it fades that's a crime"
"but it would be a crime to let it fade"

das wär dann "it changes its convictions"

Hmm ich find eben auch keine anderen Worte... Ich lass mir das mal durch den Kopf gehen und versuch morgen mal was dazu zu schreiben... ist ja nicht so dramatisch
