Incorporating the highly acclaimed 1957/2008 pickups and finished in never before offered PRS proprietary nitro-cellulose burst colors, the Sunburst 22, Sunburst 245 and Smokeburst McCarty make their debut at NAMM 2009. The guitars feature custom grade curly maple tops, wide/fat mahogany necks, mahogany backs, 22-fret East Indian Rosewood fretboards and abalone bird inlays.

PRS Guitars is proud to officially announce the first in a series ofacoustic guitars manufactured in its Stevensville, Maryland facility.Nearly four years of design and prototyping with acoustic artist RickySkaggs and luthier Steve Fischer have culminated in the Angelus Cutawayand the Tonare Grand models, which are appearing officially for thefirst time at Winter NAMM. Full production will commence in early 2009.

Newly designed with direct input from distinguished artists, PRSacoustic models come standard with features that are typicallyconsidered upgrades within the industry – German spruce tops, beautifuldark rosewood or curly mahogany backs and sides, rare Peruvian mahoganynecks, red spruce and mahogany bracing, exotic inlays and rosettes, andthin shatter-hard all nitro finishes. Options include Celtic knotrosettes and inlays, Adirondack red spruce tops, and ebony fretboardsand bridges. These instruments incorporate a proprietary hybrid bracingpattern designed to maximize volume, provide a musical balance betweenthe bass, mid-range and warm high-end and give an articulate tonalresponse. Also uniquely PRS is a super high strength, high modulusgraphite truss rod that enhances sonic vibration and an optionalproprietary pickup system producing a natural acoustic sound thatrivals vintage condenser microphones.

Ich wusste, dass die in der Factory einen alten PRS Amp zum testen nutzen, aber dass da gleich eine Serie geplant war, ist mir neu.

Sieht echt alles sehr schön aus. Bin auf die Amps und die Akustik gespannt so ne Akustik mit Birds hat schon was

Ja, das ist schon was Feines, die Amps! Aber was versprechen denn die Amps so viel Neues??? Da sind Regler wie bei jedem anderen Amp auch, keine besonderen Schalter. Der Sound hört sich erstmals recht gut an, aber ich würd die Dinger jetzt nicht zu schnell hochpreisen.

Das gilt es, herauszufinden. Oder hast du sie schon getestet?

Nur der Name reicht meiner Meinung nach nicht aus, dass die Amps gut sein mögen. Siehe Marshall MG...

Hallo ich muß zugeben das ich selbst noch an keinem gespielt habe
- aber Andere denen ich zuhören konnte -
für mich als noch nicht tubeerfahren hört er sich -echt- und -warm -an (clean ist mein favorite)
als Vergleich(nicht ganz passend ich weis) der kleine blackstar 5er welchen ich kaufen wollte - für sein Geld denk ich gut - aber es fehlt dem an Kraft nicht an Lautstärke.

Jedoch habe ich mich nun entschlossen länger zu sparen und in Richtung 2000 EU zu äugeln und dann zuzuschlagen.

Werde sicher noch andere Amps in der Richtung ins Auge fassen und am Besten ist auf jeden Fall
ich muß selber antesten und dies auch mit meiner eigenen Klampfe !
