hier is noch n songtext, schon etwas älter, aber ich find ihn nicht schlecht. es geht um n spätzünder in sachen liebe und sex und so weiter, is auch punk rock.
bin immer offen für verbesserungen/vorschläge

ein paar Anmerkungen zu Deinem Text:

ich glaube nicht, dass man sich hinter einem Zaun einschließen kann - vielleicht in den allseits beliebten Käfig (cage), man kann sich hinter einem Zaun verstecken (hide) oder vielleicht in einer Höhle (cave) - aber wenn der Reim gerettet werden soll, würde ich eher locked austauschen ...

to belong kann imho nicht alleine stehen - man muss sagen, wozu man gehört - genauso wie im Deutschen

ich weiß ehrlich gesagt, nicht wie das gemeint ist: eher positiv, weil man die stories kennt und es somit etwas Bekanntes/Vertrautes ist, oder eher negativ, weil man es ja schon kennt und es damit langweilig ist ...

diese Abfolge von Bildern: ich (über-) male das alles und pflanze ein paar Samen, damit die Sonne mein Herz wieder wärmt will mir nicht so recht einleuchten - aber ein bißchen ist das auch Geschmacksache, obwohl Du sehr viele Bilder bemühst, die nur kurz aufflackern aber kein Gesamtbild ergeben - kannste ja mal gucken, ob Du Dich da noch mal drüber beugen möchtest ... ansonsten würde ich die letzte Zeile eher so in Richtung: to make the sun warm my heart again machen ...

Da sind mehrere Perspektivwechsel drin und es werden mehrfach Bilder nur kurz angerissen - ist, wie gesagt, Geschmacksache, und oft ist die Neigung ja nicht groß, einen älteren Text noch mal umzustricken. Die wenigen Fehler, die drin sind, würde ich noch raushauen - bei dem belong müßtest Du noch mal schauen, am einfachsten wäre sowas wie I do belong to you oder vielleicht einfach belonging to you oder so.

Das mit dem Spätzünder hätte ich ohne Deine Einführung nicht assoziiert - natürlich schon jemand, der sich nach Nähe und Zugehörigkeit sehnt und dann dazu gehört - aber das ist ja oft auch ne Phase, die immer mal wieder eintritt ...
