Team Fortress 2 hab ich auch sehr gern gezockt, dann hat man in-app purchase implementiert....

Da war ich schon draußen. Hab nur das Einser gespielt. Verdammt, wir spammen mein Review zu!

Deswegen gleich was sinnvolles:

Heute hab ich mit der Band ein wenig gejammt und dabei den One Knob Compressor getestet. Der funktioniert eigentlich sehr gut! Bis zur Mittenstellung kompressiert er schön, ab dann wirds richtig dicht, da werden dann auch Decay Phasen vom Piano zb ordentlich rausgepresst. Ist dann mehr ein Effekt und offensichtlich so gewollt. Aber von 7-12h ist das wirklich sehr sinnvoll zu verwenden. Im Intro, wenn man alleine ist auf 7h die volle, extreme Dynamik der Samples ausnutzen und wenn die Band dann laut spielt auf 12h trotzdem schön durchkommen. Das ist wirklich sehr praxistauglich! Meine Befürchtung, dass die Lautstärke zu wenig aufgeholt wird hat sich nur minimal bestätigt. Es könnte ein wenig mehr sein, ist aber im Grunde schon sehr, sehr bruachbar.

Übrigens setzt sich die Kurzweil Tradition fort. Auch die neuen A Pianos setzen sich gnadenlos durch. Wunderbar!

Review update: Deckt sich mit dem von Duplo. Ich kann von anfang an gut mit dem Gerät arbeiten.

Zur Masterkeyboard funktion:
Die 4 Zonen sind etwas wenig wenn man externes gear noch mit schalten will, aber da hab ich konzeptionell etwas umgestellt. Jede Zone kann PC senden und man kann auswählen ob und an welchen Midi out gesendet werden soll. Aus dem Thru lässt sich ein Out machen - sehr schön! Mit Editor ist das ganze auch deutlich besser bedienbar. Da kann man sich auch u.a. einen Panic knopf auf die Tastatur legen und viele andere Späße.

Die Multis lassen sich gut verwalten und können live on the fly geschaltet werden - wenn man die effekte beibehält oder nicht wesentlich ändert geht das nahtlos.

Im Program Mode hat man übrigens 16 Kanäle durch die man Schalten kann! Jap - 16 Kanäle.

Sounds, Import:
Mittlerweile habe ich die PC3LE sounds in den Forte reinladen können - hat sehr gut geklappt. Einige Orgeln habens nicht geschafft. Der Rest ging rein.. Die PC3LE sounds sind eine sehr gute Ergänzung, weil damit u.a. viel viel mehr Brass und Strings am Start sind. Auch die Synth Presets werden dankend angenommen. Heute abend probiere ich die Kore64 presets reinzuladen. Schade dass Kurzweil die sounds nicht auf dem Presentierteller liefert.

Fazit:
Mein Live 88er für alle Fälle, das kann ich jetzt schon sagen. Oben drauf ist entweder ein PA3x oder ein FantomG angesiedelt. Ggf kommt aber noch ein rotes Keyboard für den Fantom in die Burg.

Von der fantastischen Orchester Bank sind, wie im Test erwähnt, wirklich nur sehr wenige im Forte. Da kann man mit den PC3 Sounds noch sehr viel raus holen!

Bei den Orgeln gabs einerseits ein paar Probleme mit den Double Leslie Chains und andererseits hat sich ja was getan seit dem PC3. Deswegen gehen die wohl nicht alle durch. Bei der Orgel ist es allerdings verschmerzbar, da man die ja relativ schnell nachgebaut hat.

Nachtrag: Die Kore64 sounds konnten nicht einfach so geladen werden, das bricht in der Mitte ab. Ich warte auf ein Update von Kurzweil.

Das ist jammern auf hohem niveau - Das Gerät ist jetzt schon im System als Masterkeyboard für Pa3x und Bk7m. Mit KB3 habe ich mir alle Orgeln selbst gebaut die ich brauche. Jetzt baue ich noch neue Multis für jeden Song in dem der Forte Mehrwert bietet. Einen nach dem anderen...

Multi Mode

16 zones support

If Global User Type is set to Regular, nothing changes: all the multis in the Forte will keep having 4 zones. For users that don’t need more than that, that’s the easiest way to work. We keep committed to maintain the Forte as an easy and accessible keyboard to everybody. Regular User Type will always keep simplicity as its main goal.

If Global User type is set to Advanced, the users now have the possibility to have up to 16 zones in their multis. The minimum number of zones will remain as 4.

With CHANNEL/ZONE buttons the users will be able to navigate with all the zones of the multi, including in the OVERVIEW page. In this page, the zones will be shown in groups of 4: 1-4, 5-8, 9-12 and 13-16.

HELP page

When in Advanced User type, a new page will be accessible in Multi Edit Mode. The HELP page.

This page shows what’s the secondary functionality of some of the Favorite buttons. This secondary functionality will only work on Multi Edit Mode.

Favorite 7: Duplicate Zone

The way to create a new zone to your multi is to duplicate an existing zone. Just press Favorite 7 button and it will duplicate the current selected zone. The newly created zone will be the last zone of the multi at that moment.

The maximum number of zones in a Forte Multi is 16.

Favorite 9: Delete Zone

With the Favorite 9 button the users will be able to delete the currently selected zone.

The minimum number of zones in a Forte Multi is 4.

Multi Mode FX page

The FX control per channel was buggy in previous releases if your MIDI channels didn’t match the zone number. We have cleaned up that code and we are now showing the 16 MIDI Channels so that it’s easier to understand what’s being edited in that page.

Multi Mode Controls page

Parameters that are common to all zones show “All Zones” at the page header. For example, the Type of a particular switch is the same in all zones.


Intonation Control

Kurzweil keyboards during many years have offered a Global Intonation Map and Key. With these parameters the users can set alternate tunings. This affects all the channels equally and has no real time control.

In Forte 1.30 we have added several new ways to control the intonation at a more fine level giving the users a total control over intonation in real time.

Per Channel Intonation Map and Key

Programs can have an Intonation Map and Key. Therefore it is possible to have a different intonation per channel. This is saved with the program.

Real Time control of Intonation Map and Key

The Per Channel Intonation Map and Key can be controlled in real time. There are 2 new Destinations for the Controllers in Multi Edit Mode:

• 180 Chan Intonation - This allows the user to change the Intonation Map in a channel in real time. In the CONTROLS page, when using this Destination the users will see the actual name of the Intonation Map they are setting. For Example: 18 (EastMed)
• 181 Chan Int Key - This allows the user to change the Intonation Key in a channel in real time. 12 possible values/keys. The 128 values are divided for selecting the 12 possible values. The editor will show both the MIDI number and the Key to help with the proper selection. For example: 41 (D#).

Creation of User Intonation Tables

When the user type is set to Advanced, and either the Global Intonation Map or the Program Intonation Map is selected an Edit icon will appear on the page header. Pressing the Favorite 1 button will edit the Intonation Map.

The editor will allow to set a tune of +/ 200 cents for each of the 12 keys of an octave. These offsets will be repeated in all Octaves. The Intonation Key sets the first key of an octave.

The users can save the User Intonation Tables in IDs 32 to 127.


Storage Mode

Store individual objects

It’s now possible to store individual objects. In Storage Mode, STORE page there is now an ADVANCED page. In that page the users will be able to select specific user objects to be stored into a file.


Load individual objects

When loading a file the user could not OPEN a valid Kurzweil object file. In this case the users will be able to select the objects from that file that they want to load.


Global Mode

Reset

The same as in Artis, we have added a Soft Reset to Forte. This will only delete the Master Table which will reset the configuration of the unit to factory defaults but will leave all the user objects intact.

The Hard reset option will delete all user objects in addition to reset the configuration to factory defaults.

MIDI Monitor

The MIDI monitors has been split into 2, a MIDI IN monitor and a MIDI OUT monitor. In both cases there is now a scrollable list that allows the user to see hundreds of MIDI messages sent or received.

Schön zu sehen, wie man die Menü/Parameterführung in 'Regular' und 'Advanced' aufgeteilt hat ...so wird wohl bei zukünftigen Feature-Updates der 'Regular User' nicht gleich von der Flut erschlagen, und der 'Advanced User' freut sich über Funktionsumfang!


...erinnert mich ein bisschen an den 'EZ Mode' der alten KAT-Produkte (DrumKAT, TrapKAT etc.), welche ja auch mit Kurzweil zusammenspann(t)en.

Ich hab dieses wirklich oft geäußerte Request weiter geleitet. Hören sie wohl nicht zum ersten mal...

Ja es ist das Ziel, zwei Geräte in einem zu liefern. Regular für die einfachen Stage Piano User, die mal den ein oder anderen Sound dazu brauchen. Advanced für die volle Kurzweil Power.

kann man die Programs des PC3, die nicht in Forte sind, irgendwo downloaden, um sie dann in den Forte 88 einzubeziehen? Falls ja, wäre eine Adresse gut.

Man kann die pc3le, die pc3 und die kore sounds herunterladen, aber nur komplett hineinladen. Ich vermute dass beim Laden auch Settings überschrieben werden die für die Presets der Forte wichtig sind. Anders kann ich mir nicht erklären warum ich den 9ft Flügel im zurückgesetzten Forte besser finde, mit PC3 reingeladen jedoch leicht verstimmt. Das Laden bricht auch ab wenn die limits erreicht werden. Und Kore64 freezed irgendwann während des Ladens. Was ich soweit laden konnte klang ok. Ich habe den Forte aber wieder resetet.

Warte lieber auf das update, dass schon im Release Candidate 4 ist. Damit kann man sounds selektiv laden - viel besser.
