This amp is extremely versatile. I play jazz, rock, and doom metal, and it accomodates all styles as well as you want it to. It's actually pretty hard to get a bad sound out of this amp. Clean is very dark sounding. I also use a 66 fender bassman blackface head, and pretty much bought the orange as a backup, but have found it now in the front of my rig. The rockerverb sounds pretty close to the bassman, but it's also different. It has an "orange" sound which is pretty original. Very clear highs, present mids, and some booming lows, The eq's are pretty responsive, so finding a right mix shouldn't be hard at all.
The dirty channel is great on this amp. Everything to grit, to classic british rock (which orange is famous for) as well as total brutal metal. This channel can deliver whatever you need it too. As far as i know, this is Orange's first high gain amplifier, and it is pretty impressive. When the gain is turned all the way up, it sounds "Heavy"! but not fuzzy like a lot of high gain amps out there. Think of a triple rectifier without the fuzziness and just the gain. Cleanest distortion i have ever heard (haha)
