bury what you need to get rid of ich benutze "need to" immer wenn ich noch was machen "müsste", also so ganz unwichtige dinge. da gibts jetzt keine regel, das ist nur so meine sichtweise. wenns dir gefällt, lass es auf jeden fall drin, "need to" heisst "müssen"

mach doch mal ne schmucke rock-nummer draus, für die älteren board-user

super text, aussage klar und fehler sind ja auch nicht drin, das rote von mir sind mehr so "denkanregunden". hat auch nen guten klang, guten reim - bitte nicht alles "vercoren" und dann hört man vor lauter geschrei und gebrüll davon nix mehr.....

mehr ist mir nicht aufgefallen.
deshalb nur noch der begeisterungssturm :
geiler text, schwingt sich schon beim lesen gut ein! ich könnte mir das sowohl in ner schnellen rocknummer, als auch in deiner angedachten weise durchaus vorstellen. wobei wilbour schon recht hat, wäre schade, wenn man vom text nihct mehr allzuviel mitbekommt...

@wilbour-cobb: feel compassion hab ich grad ma nachgeschlagen. es geht wirklch, obwohl ich nach deiner anmerkung als erstes auch gedacht hab das es show compassion heissen müsste.

ausserdem hör ich noch ent ma as i lay dying. die sind langweilig

Also ich wage zu bezweifeln das es sinnvoll ist ein deutsches Sprichwort wortwoertlich zu uebersetzen.

Das waere wie : Slowly with the young horses ( langsam mit den jungen Pferden ) oder Jump in the bowl ( Sprung in der Schuessel )

Wir wissen nicht, ob das eine die Übersetzung des anderen ist. Manche Redewendung gibt es tatsächlich fast identiscch in mehrerern Sprachen.

das ist ein ganz üblicher einglischer ausdruck "falling upon deaf ears"

kannste bei www.phrasen.com mal eingeben, sollte "auf taube ohren stossen" bei rauskommen....

das würde ich mit "to be off s.o's chump" übersetzen.

damit hast du natürlich recht, die meisten sprichwörter sind eins zu eins nicht überstetzbar. aber dann gibt es die paar ausnahmen, wo es zufälligerweise genau übereinstimmt.

das war mir klar. ich wollte auch nur mal unterstreichen, dass es eben oft mit der über setzung überhaupt nicht passt, dein beispiel war dafür super.
