Musikalisch geht der Song teilweise (zum Ende) Richtung Muse...jedenfalls sehr bombastisch. Die Strophen zum Anfang erinnern ein wenig an die Chili Peppers und der Refrain ist...ach...klingt einfach alles nach uns...=P

Ehrlich gestanden finde ich den Text gut, ohne zu verstehen, um was es eigentlich geht.

Aaalso, erstmal danke und dann fangen wir mal an:

"Excelsior" ist tatsächlich ein Ausdruck für "ausgezeichnet" der "brilliant"...sehr hochgestochen und altmodisch, aber gerade deshalb sehr schön^^
"But he scales the wrong pan" ist ein kleines Wortspiel meinerseits...ich glaube nicht, dass es das schon so gibt, aber es ist schon logisch: "scale-pan" bedeutet "Waagschale", soll also heissen, dass er die falsche Seite der Waage beschwert und nicht das "counterweight" ist, was die Person braucht.
"Let me soil your quarantaine": Jo, richtig übersetzt, das soll es heißen...unklar?
Das "revealed in A shadow" soll einfach ausdrücken, dass es nur EIN (kleiner) Wink war, der in EINEM Schatten aufgetaucht ist und nicht in dem permanenten Schatten seiner Maskerade...etwas schwer, aber vielleicht verstehste ja, was ich meine...

dann vielleicht one shadow?

Was ich halt nicht ganz verstehe ist, dass diese Person (he) doch offensichtlich alles falsch macht und dem you nicht helfen kann - und dieser letzte Satz bedeutet dann aber doch, dass dieses you diesen he nicht wegschmeißen soll, bevor sie nicht klar bekommen hat, dass es doch exzellent ist.

Aber vielleicht ist auch dieser Montag zu montäglich - und ich stehe irgendwo auf dem Schlauch ...

counterweight ist ein substantiv. das heisst es muss entweder "a counterweight for your disease" sein, oder du machst ne wortneuschoepfung "counterweigh your disease" dann als verb quasi
