Also so ganz habe ich die Geschichte nicht geblickt, muss ich sagen. Die Zeiten scheinen okay zu sein, aber irgendwie: mal scheint es, sie hätte Dein Leben gerettet und vorher war´s Schrott; mal scheint es, das lyrische Ich hat sich endlich von ihr befreit und nun gehts aufwärts.

Ich vermute mal, es ist aber eher ein vierschritt: schlechte phase, sie kam und rettete das leben, was aber irgendwann zu einem nicht tollen Gefühl wurde, und darauf folgt dann die (vorerst) letzte Befreiung.

Vielleicht ist es einfacher oder ich muss den Text öfter lesen, aber so ganz steige ich da noch nicht durch.

Der Refrain wirkt auf mich sehr sperrig: grammatikalisch, von der Wortwahl her - hmmm.

So Leute, vlt kann ich etwas Licht ins dunkle bringen
Der Text kann glaub ich wirklich verwirrend sein.

Also es geht darum, dass man eine sehr schlechte Zeit hatte. "Sie" ist eig. nur ein One-Night-Stand. Nach dieser Nacht bemerkt das lyrische Ich dass es ihm gut geht und er einfach gehen kann. Er fühlt sich erneuert und hängt nicht alten Erinnerungen nach. Er hat es einfach genossen und schließt die Tür. Er fühlt sich neu geboren und aus irgendeinem Grund hat er den Eindruck dass "Sie" dafür verantwortlich ist. Deshalb "i cant believe you saved my life" im sinne von ich kann nicht glauben dass du mein leben gerettet hast oder ich ich bin erstaunt dass du so etwas mit mir tun konntest.

Ich gehe jetzt mal auf die genauen Stellen anhand X-riffs version ein weil er mehr fragen hat.

Hey StayTuned - ich finde das irgendwie irre - ist mir auch schon an anderer Stelle aufgefallen: zwei Leute benutzen den leo online und bekommen verschiedene Ergebnisse (blindfolded z.B.).

Na ja - native speaker ist eh aufschlußreicher und verbindet dann noch Kopf mit Bauch.

Ansonsten steige ich glaube ich mal auf einen anderen online-dictionairy um.

Mit Deinen Erklärungen ist der Text für mich verständlicher.
Ich sach mal so: wenn nate den so verstanden hat, wie Du ihn geschildert hast, dann ist es okay.
