"Well, in short, it's good news. I texted Pete Stevens yesterday 10th
July, to order a few spare parts (usual stuff - truss rod covers,
back-plate screws etc.) and 3 hours later had a call from Paul Herman.
Coincidentally Paul was with Pete yesterday and had cleared out the
last of the old (dusty) spares and taken them to Leatherhead. Paul had
taken all of last week off from his own guitar production to
concentrate on WAL.
Most parts are being priced by suppliers and CNC production of 5
string bridges is in hand. Paul will be checking through the old Order
Book soon and contacting potential customers to check if their orders
are still alive. Talks with Pete's silent partner have progressed and
legal issues will not be a problem.
When all is done; Paul will create a new Price List and commence
production. This will obviously start slow and clear the backlog -
probably not too long.
So at this stage PLEASE don't hassle Paul for a delivery date and
PLEASE don't hassle him for prices. All will happen soon(ish)"
