Subject: Re: A question about the old classic 60/60
Hello,
Yes, that's correct. If there isn't an input signal then it won't hurt
the amp to not have a load on it while powered up. Thanks,

Hello from germany,
i have a question about the old Peavey Classic 60/60 poweramp, since it
has only one master standby switch;
Would it be possible to run just one channel of the classic 60/60 and
leave the other channel without a speaker load, as long as this channel
is
completely disconnected from any input-signal?
The idea would be to use just 60W instead of 120W or being able to run
it through a mono cabinet; And since the unused channel would get no
input signal, there wouldn't be anything for the output-transformer to
transform, and thus it wouldn't be a problem to run it without a load?
Thank you very much.
sincerely,
AlX
