Da es schon viele andere Beckentrheads gibt, hier nun der Zildjian Thread!
History:
Every Company has a story: Ours starts in 1623.
Avedis Zildjian I (the first) was an Armenian alchemist in the city of Constantinople in the seventeenth century. His attempts to create gold by combining base metals led instead to an alloy of copper, tin and traces of silver with unique sound qualities. Avedis used this discovery to create cymbals of spectacular clarity and power. The sound of the instruments was extraordinary, and as his reputation grew he was given the name "Zildjian";, an Armenian word meaning "son of cymbal maker.";
The Zildjian secret alloy is now nearly four centuries old. It has been passed down between Zildjian heirs for fourteen generations. Currently, Armand Zildjian's two daughters, Craigie and Debbie are continuing the family tradition. Zildjian has been officially recognized as the oldest continually family-owned business in America.
The Zildjian brand stands for more than expertise and a rich heritage of high quality
craftsmanship. Its essence is found in every thread of the drumming community, weaving
together students, teachers, pros, old, young, and everyone in between.
From the beginning, the leaders of the company have stayed close to the working musicians in order to understand their experiences and needs. By sustaining these close bonds and looking to them for insight into the design and manufacturing of innovative and extraordinarily sounding cymbals, Zildjian has maintained its position as the world's leading cymbal manufacturer.
Zildjian's reputation for exceeding customer expectations and needs can be attributed to both its sharp focus on continuous quality improvement and innovation, and its emphasis on the family character and rich tradition of the business. Zildjian's enduring values—leadership, commitment to quality and craftsmanship, passion for music and fun, music education, and a strong family heritage and culture—have guided the company in carrying out its vision over the years.
Labor of Love. Each Zildjian Cast Bronze cymbal is individually cast from the secret Zildjian alloy formulated over 380 years ago. Using finishing processes refined over centuries, craftsmen create the distinguished cymbals played by the world's greatest drummers and percussionists- including you.

FX Series
Your Playing is Your Voice - Accent it! You can never have too many sounds when your creativity demands them. The Zildjian Sound Lab continues the tradition of working with the world's most inventive and experimental drummers and percussionists - like Alex Acuna, Dennis Chambers and Zach Danziger - to create uniquely designed, innovative sound effects. These exotic sound colors help you define your signature sound and add character and variety to your kit.
Zildjian Bronze Technology. Beginning with precisely identical bronze discs, sheet cymbals are shaped, hammered and lathed with the same care as all Zildjian cymbals. Their voices have a higher pitch, more focused overtones and a faster decay than Cast Bronze cymbals and produce a more consistent sound from cymbal to cymbal.
ZHT Series
ZHT Ultimate Sheet Bronze Cymbals. 88% Copper, 12% Tin. Zildjian's first-ever B12 alloy results in our most musical Sheet Bronze series yet. A higher tin content, ultra-modern crafting techniques, and extensive hammering have created a more musical sound than previously found in a Zildjian Sheet Bronze cymbal. ZHT is the only Zildjian Sheet Bronze series in a traditional finish and features popular Zildjian Cast Bronze models
ZXT Series
Superior Sheet Bronze Cymbals. The ZXT series offers more distinct models than any previous Zildjian sheet bronze selection. Each reflects unique lathing lines and distinctive hammering patterns designed to accentuate their sound properties. They look different because they sound different, because they are different. But the bright, powerful voice they share - the ZXT alloy- is as mighty as any Zildjian.
ZBT Series
Start Here. Go Anywhere Don't let price stand between you and a sensational sounding set of cymbals. Revolutionary new manufacturing techniques developed by the Zildjian Sound Lab release a fast, bright, high-volume sound from the power-packed ZBT alloy. They make an ideal first set of Zildjians for any school marching and concert band.

70er 15" Avedis Rock Hihat
70er 24" Avedis Ride
20" A-Custom Crash
14" K Hihat
19" K Dark Thin Crash
19" K Dark Medium Thin Crash
20" K Dark Crash
22" EAK Heavy Ride
19" EAK China
Zukuenftig wird bestimmt noch das ein oder andere Becken kommen und gehen, wie ich gerade lustig bin. Im Moment warte ich noch auf ein 22" Avedis China.
So, nun ihr liebe Z Freunde.
